Yesterdays World, Battle. 17th March - Visit 2
This is one of our favorite locations and we are thrilled to be going back. We will be joined by Crawley Paranormal on this private joint investigation.

Telscombe, Sussex. 9th March
This is a private investigation with another group and we will be the 1st to investigate this property.
RESULTS: This was a very interesting investigation and one of the better ones recently. The cottages are now a youth hostel so all the upstairs rooms are bedrooms but would have been part of the original house.
While the medium was telling the group what spirits were with us I saw something move in the kitchen which was behind him and out of his line of sight. I don't know what i saw but it was just movement. I then had the word 'Woman' pop into my head. A few seconds later the medium was finishing what he was saying and then he said 'Oh and theres a woman in the kitchen'!!! (meaning a spirit woman!) I was pretty shocked at this, and rather pleased!
Later in one of the rooms there was a young couple. The chap had both his arms around his girlfriends waist and she was infront of him. Allthat was behind the chap was a window which was closed. There was no one standing close to or behind him. He stated that it was getting warm behind him. Another member of the group could also feel heat from the chaps direction. The heat was intensifying to such an extent that he had to look and see why his back was so hot. He lifted up his T shirt and there were 2 big scratches on his back (pic below).
Also while outside in the churchyard next to the cottages I saw a bald man with his arms crossed leaning on a gate. I saw this just before the medium stated there was a man who used to visit the graves and he was indeed bald!
We held a glass divination session where the medium would ask questions where the answers were already written down by him so we could not have any influence on the answers. He got it spot on 10% as well as a couple trick questions! During this time we heard a lot of things in the kitchen which included the sound of things being moves, dropped and the usual knocks, russels and bangs. We did all hear the microwave bell ping on a few occasions which it had not done all evening. What a great night that was!

Fort Amhurst, Chatham, Kent.
Our 1st major investigation for 2012 sees Surrey Paranormal visiting Fort Amhurst at the end of January. we have done absolutely no research about this venue so it will be interesting to see what we pick up and if there is any history to verify our findings.
Great location but not very busy that night with spirits. I did however get totally overwhelmed with emotion at one point which was fantastic! It was supposed to be the spirit of a girl who lost her love during WW2.

Godstone Caves, Gostone. Friday 10th June 2011
Investigation of the caves was something that Surrey Paranormal will never forget!. We met with the caving club who look after the caves, got kitted up and walked to the tunnel entrance. After we all squeezed through the entrance we had to walk down a couple miles of tunnels. The floors were about 4.5 to 5.5 feet so with hard hats on we had to either drop our heads to one side or crouch down. Eventually we would enter into larger areas where we could start investigating. There are 3 main areas in the caves where we stayed for over an hour in total pitch darkness. The caves were man made back in the 1600's and used for mushroom farming up until just after WW1. Surrey Paranormal were the 1st paranormal group to investigate so the spirits were slow in coming forward but eventually they did. French and Belgium workers were picked up who later we found out were the ones who dug the caves. We had knocking and cold spots which was very unusual in such a location. We also had a temperature drop from 15 to 9 degrees in about a 8 min time frame. The caves run at a constant 15 degrees!
The mediums were picking up on a couple people who died in the cave from a collapse. They should not have been there so were not found for a while. One of the mediums picked up on children nearly dying from smoke inhalation due to setting car tyres on fire!
The activity was quite limited but we feel would have been better if we stayed in just a couple locations for longer so next time we will spend longer in the caves.

Reigate Caves, Reigate. 6th May 2011
Reigate and the surrounding areas are littered with tunnels. The ones we are visiting were originally Victorian sand-mines, Edwardian
bottle dumps, WW1 ammo stores, WW2 shelters, ARP and civil defence. Now they seek visitors to wander around in the dark!! We have a few spare places for this investigation. Times are 7pm - 1am and cost is £25. Please email us to book your place.
The Ragged School, London 26th Feb 2011
26th February 2011. Surrey Paranormal teamed up with another group to investigate the Ragged School in London. The building was an old warehouse and was taken over in 1876 by Dr Thomas Banardo who turned the building into a Ragged (Free) school where children could get a basic education.
The only really interesting location in the building was the basement. We heard many knocks of different tones from all over the large room. Lights were seen floating about. These were seen by different members of the group and consisted of red lights and white lights. a couple of members had their fingers pulled by an apparent 4 year old boy called Tom. He wanted to show us where he kept his toys.
There was also a metal cabinet in the middle of the room which was on the concrete floor. A few of us saw the doors open on their own and there was no one near them. We also heard what sounded like a child or children playing in a playground for about a second. The basement was used as the playground for these children. A few people were also poked by unseen fingers.
There was also a spirit of a strict teacher keeping her eye on us and Tom, she was not happy that we were there. A janitor was also picked up. A few members felt like they were being strangles and this was confirmed by the other group who picked up on a hanging in the building.
A few other interesting things happened in other pars of the building including Chris our medium being taken over by a boy called Adam and Chris managed to write messages on small tablets that were found in the desk. Chris frantically wrote 'ADAM' And 'HURT ME' over and over again. he as referring to a different but very nasty school teacher that apparently hit the children on a regular basis.
We all had a great time and can recommend a night at the Ragged School

The Viaduct Tavern, London
Just a stones throw from Parliament in the heart of London is the very spooky Viaduct Tavern. Both the horrible cellars and the spooky rooms upstairs are said to house spirits and not the bottled variety!! Can Surrey Paranormal find what the investigators from the US show Ghost Hunters could not?
The mediums picked up on a prostitute who visited a rather nasty male who lived at the location. She was murdered in one of the top floor rooms. We caught a few EVP's which will be posted when the audio has been cleaned up.
There were also spirits in the cellar but the only occurrences we all heard were scratches and bangs/movement in the cellar while we were all in the toilets next door. We could hear the noises through the wall!!

Bolebroke Castle Visit No2 15/01/2010

This was the 1st investigation for the whole group although Jason, Suzie and myself had been there before.
The rooms were very cold, colder than the outside it seemed! We set up and after a walk round with the owner we decided to do a short investigation in the dining room which would also serve as our base for the night. Bob had bought along a CD player with a CD of chanting monks as it has been reported that there is a monk or religious person who wanders the house. So with the weird chanting humming in the room we sat down and waited for anything to happen. It wasn't long before Suzie felt a presence of a thin un-kept man who was trying to impress himself onto her.
The temperature did feel like it dropped but there was what seemed to be a cold spot that some could follow around the room. I could not detect any temp difference where the cold spot was supposed to be. While sitting in a chair i looked towards one of the windows opposite and to my right where I saw a figure with black short hair who looked like he was leaning slightly forward and looking out the window. I thought it was Bob as the figure he was wearing a gown of some sort that was beige and Bob was wearing a beige coat. I found that Bob was still sitting in a chair to my left and the figure was still by the window. I turned my torch onto the figure and there was nothing there! After turning off the torch the figure had gone!! Was it my eyes, imagination? Who knows!
We split into 2 teams and my team headed off to the Great Hall/Kitchen. The following was witnessed:
Kings Room: Nothing at all to report.
Room 101: The glass moved about 3" on the seance table but that was it, nothing else! very odd!!
Room 203: The glass moved and we found out it was a relative of my Brother in law who had come along as a guest which was great. This is the 3rd time this sort of thing has happened where a spirit has come through that does not belong to the building but is a relative of an investigator. This spirit was born in 1800's but it was unclear who she was. A deceased brother in law may have also popped in to say hello but this was unclear as it may have been the woman.
Team 2 lead by Jason had more luck.
In one of the rooms Jason had a relative come through and moved the glass on the seance table. The spirit was that of his grandfather. The movements were very strong and all questions were answered correctly even the ones that only Jason knew. Jason's friend [ Anthony ] was also present as a guest investigator and his father knew Jason's Grandfather very well so Anthony was able to ask questions that were also validated by Jason and Anthony. Jason even asked trick questions which were answered correctly.
They also had great success in the Great Hall.
After having no luck in one of the rooms i radioed down to group 2 to see if they were having any luck and they said they were so we joined them. The glass on the seance table was moving quickly answering questions from the group. It turns out that the spirit is that of a woman called Molly who was a cook during King Henry 8th time. She claimed to have had 2 daughters from him and he even (possibly) popped in to say hello!?!? We managed to get one of the spirit daughters to hold my hand which i felt. The palm of my hand went cold and i felt something touch my palm, also the hairs on the back of my hand moved!
On the seance table is a picture of a moon and some stars. On several occasions Molly moved the glass round and round the moon quickly but we can't figure out why. She also repeated words and number which again we can't work out what they mean. They were G A E E F , S A E G, D I P E R F and S R I P E also D R I E R S was spelled out which could be PIERS? There is a possibility that she could not spell but the wrds were repeated a few times each?

Before the investigation we were taken further up the road to a sight that was used to hang defendants who were found guilty and there were stocks there also. The 4 images below were taken looking towards the direction of the courthouse.
If you look at the light trail you will see dark bits along the path of light. This is a light in motion as I took loads of pics on holiday last year of lights in the dark while moving my camera – to be arty and get some abstract images. The light trails are the same with the dark bits but this time my camera was still as you can see from the trees.
We also caught some orbs that are the brightest i have ever seen. I don't really believe in orbs but these are odd as they are so bright! The last image is of a light trail!

We are returning back to the cottages in February 2010 but this time with another group who with the help of a medium will hopefully explain some of the myths surrounding the farm and near by area.

The Spread Eagle Hotel, Midhurst. 12/03/2010
March saw the team investigate the Spread Eagle Hotel in Midhurst, West Sussex. It has been busy with reports from guests of paranormal activity from the original part of the hotel which is where we were based. Sadly we had very little to report. Although the hotel was a superb place to visit with it's oak paneled walls, wonky floor boards and years of history it lacked the vital ingredient for a successful investigation.....Spirit activity! We are still going through the audio and video so if we find anything we will post it up. We did have one EVP in room 22 that said "GET OUT!" This needs to be confirmed with our 2nd EVP recorder. Watch this space!
West Horsley Cottage
We investigated a private house in West Horsley in April. This house has a resident cook who likes to move things about and open/close curtains amongst other things. The owner has also seen a semi transparent man digging in her garden in what looked like Victorian era clothing. This was be our first private home which made the evening interesting and a little different.

Baliffscourt Hotel, West Sussex
This venue will be investigated in May. Some parts of the hotel date back to Norman times and reports of paranormal activity are reported on a regular basis.

Surrey Cottages, 4th visit.
With 6 mediums giving us information and cross referencing it with the two medium's from our last visit i am convinced that the cottages are haunted and the land that they sit on is very busy paranormally speaking! A full report is being written for a book "Paranormal Surrey' which should be out Summer 2011.
Yesterdays World, East Sussex 30th July 2010
Surrey Paranormal Had a superb time at Yesterdays World on 30th July 2010. There are many spirits at the location who have arrived with the items that go on display. All members and guests had experiences with poking, whistling foot steps, lights, children's chatter, breathing and a fair few spirits that were picked up by our mediums. One of the staff and myself heard heavy footsteps 'running' towards us upstairs in the new extension!!!!!!
I would highly recommend this venue to anyone thinking of doing an investigation. I would go so far as to say that the night we spent at Yesterdays World was the best investigation Surrey Paranormal has been on! Awesome!!!!
Hopefully after we have looked through our video & photo's we will come up with some interesting things for you to look at.

White Bear Public House, Warlingham, Surrey
With kind permission from the land lord we were granted permission to stay a few hours after closing to do a small investigation at the White Bear Pub in Warlingham. Jim our medium has picked up spirit there before and it is said to be haunted by two spirits.
Present were Jason, Bob, Suzie and myself. We started in one of the rooms at the front near the bar and Suzie picked up on a ‘Tom’ who impressed a stomach problem which we think is how he died. Both Suzie and Bob saw a shadow in the same place at the same time.
After everyone left we moved to the room at the far end on the pub near the loo’s and kitchens. We were joined by Dennis the landlord and just sat and called out. Suzie thinks she picked up on a girl but it was weak. We then moved onto the séance board and nothing happened for about 10 mins. Then it started moving. We had a strong connection with Maggie, Bob’s late wife and then my uncle came through which was brilliant. We got info from Tom who was there speaking through Maggie and what Suzie picked seemed to be correct. Dennis managed to pick up his mother and the glass moved with just his fingers on the glass (hmmm) but Bob did witness that at one point the glass moved by itself!! After about an hour the energy faded so we called it a night. Bob and Dennis said they saw smoke and orbs coming from the glass and I think I saw a few lights from it also. We had temperature drops around our hands and legs but the hands was more noticeable and only when we were getting contact on the board.
I have been through my video and sadly there was nothing caught on camera. Hopefully Bob will have more luck.

Michelham Priory, Sussex
Friday 15th October saw Surrey Paranormal investigate for the 1st time the famous and infamous Michelham Priory, probably one of the most beautiful and haunted locations in the south of England! Or so we thought!!
We split into 2 teams with one medium in each team. Apart from the odd knock we had almost no interaction from the spirits all evening int he Priory. The interesting thing was that both mediums said it was like they were there but didn't/couldn't talk to us. When the vigils were under way it was deathly quiet, unnervingly quiet! We did pick up on a woman holding a young child in the kitchen area. Also we had a 8 degrees temp drop in 10 mins in one of the rooms.
The Keep was far more interesting with a man being picked up who saw, from the keep, a young boy fall into the moat and the mother screaming for help. The woman was part of the Sackville family. We did pick up some oddities on night vision which can be seen Below. Michelham is a superb place to visit and i would recommend spending the night there if you can. We still have much video and audio to go through so if we find anything i'll add it to this page.

Thorpe Park
This November we viseted Thorpe Park as guests. Although there were a few personal experiences there was nothing concrete to show you but it was a great fun night and an honor to wander round the grounds and go behind the scenes at this famous location.
